Fall Swap and Thank Yous

I want to start by saying thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. It's been a long week, but we will get through this as a family. My mom and her mom were very close - I can't even imagine how she is feeling (and I really don't want to). But, we all realize Grandma is in a better place and she will be waiting for us.

I'm back in the swing of things now, so expect to see some regular blog posts from me again!

Onto the Fall Swap . . .

This swap was hosted by JodiBritney, and Alicia and was a lot of fun. I was paired up with Angela and really enjoyed getting to know her, and I love her idea to do something like a Secret Santa for the quickly approaching holidays. You should go check out her blog, she is an awesome couponer and a super sweet person - I'm so happy we were paired! I will for sure be participating in future swaps, because it's a great way to meet new bloggers, and who doesn't love getting surprises in the mail?!

I shrieked with joy when I opened the box to find those caramel apple suckers. I LOVE those, but never buy them because no one else likes them and I'm not going to eat a whole bag before they go bad. And coincidentally I was JUST looking at the EOS chap stick at Target thinking I really wanted to try it, but wasn't willing to spend the money when I can get all the free chap stick from my dentist I want. So that was another perfect surprise. And the candle holder is perfect for fall, along with some great smelling candles.

This scarf is much more blue than this picture portrays. It's perfect because I tend to buy a lot of blue clothes, but have no blue scarves. And I've only recently started wearing scarves, so this is a welcome addition to my collection.

Like I said, this was so much fun, and it was great to meet Angela.

Halloween is tomorrow, and I'm all over it. Goodie bags are ready for the neighbor kids, and pumpkins are being carved tonight. Oh and I've watched Hocus Pocus about 3 times just this week. I LOVE Halloween!
